Be The Change Be The Change Be The Change

Good day to all! I hope everyone is healthy and appreciative of life, today and always.

If you have been observant of the news or social media over the last few weeks, there have been a series of unfortunate and saddening events. Killings, protests that turned into killings, terror threats and terror attacks, etc. I do not wish to go on about these.

The reason for my post today (it has been a couple of months since I posted) is to REMIND THE WORLD TO BE THE CHANGE WE WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD. There are phony people. There are people who choose to do bad. Be aware of this and keep yourself away from that energy.

Surround yourself with good and positivity; but don't only surround yourself with that, BE IT, SEE IT, SPREAD IT.

We are a product of our environment, why not change the environment to change the world?

I believe in you. I believe in us. EVERYONE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DO GOOD. Please choose good. PLEASE. Thank you all; now, let's change the world.

Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth. - Muhammad Ali

The World Needs You

Hi everyone!

I want you to know that the world needs you. It needs your energy because that energy radiates and joins others who may benefit from that.

However, this energy must a positive one. There is enough negative energy circulating (I dislike even bringing it up) our beautiful Universe. Let YOUR LIGHT SHINE. One small act of kindness will travel such a long way. And you may never see it with your own eyes, but you will certainly attract that positivity right back. It is a Universal law.

Lesson today, spread your positive energy. It will help someone on the other side of the world that has never physically met you.

Change is Constant

Good day to all!

Today I want everyone reading this to focus on one thing... acceptance of life. Realize that you are blessed to have made it THIS FAR. Once you focus your attention on that, you will be more accepting of change.

Change is not bad. Change is not good. Change simply is. It's a constant factor of life. Cells change in our biology. People change (physically, emotionally). The ecosystem changes. Relationships/partnerships. Sneakers. Food. Animals. Jobs. Minds. Science. Religion. Politics. Genders. Decisions. LIFE.

Change is constant. Accept this and live more freely. It's all in our mindset. :-)

Life is Unpredictable, So Love it

Good day to all!

You know that saying "life is short?" It really isn't. 365/366 days in a year/leap year. Approx. 525,000 minutes in a year. If you are reading this, you are most likely at least 9.450.000 minutes old (18 years approx.). That's a lot of numbers. Does that justify how long or short life really is? Not one bit, because in all honesty, life really is short if you're doing it right. Time flies is the expression, this means time goes fast. I can personally say that the last 8ish months have been an amazing experience, but a slight blur.

The expression really says "time flies when you're having fun" which I have been and I hope you have as well. If you're not having fun, change that. We really have no idea when our last day will approach. We should not bother wondering when it will be nor should we be concerned with how it will happen. JUST LIVE.

A patient was recently diagnosed with a stage 4 tumor above their heart. 24 years old. This should make you think 2 things:
1. I hope the best for this person.
2. I should start living and be grateful for all I have.

Stop and appreciate the beauty life and the universe has surrounded you with. Family, love, good, nature, animals. The ability to breathe, smile, laugh, think. Getting mad is not worth it (this is something we can all work on). Be sad, but not for long. Live for those moments that make you see God (or whoever/whatever you believe in) in them.

Today, tomorrow, and the rest of your days, I ask that you live with appreciation, reverence, compassion, selflessness, and vitality. People will hurt you, lie to you, not be there for you. It's ok. Forgive and move forward. LIVE and remember to LOVE YOURSELF and YOUR LIFE.

Do Not Take It Personal

Hello happy folks! I hope you meet this day with greatness and kindness.

Message today, DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL. What, you ask? Nothing.

The lies.
The doubts.
The truths.
The fears.
The let downs.
The uncertainties.
The comments.
The fat.
The skinny.
The immature.
The irresistible.
The mundane.
The temptation.
The jokes.
The fools.
The critics.
The comfort.
The lack of trust.
The lack of loyalty.
The exclusions.
The too much informations (just made up a word).
The gossip.
The fact that they will not give you a raise.
The fear of setting off on a journey.
The embarrassment.
The pride.
The programs society feeds you.
The nonsense.
The hate.
The success.

DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONAL.

Much love,

Erik B.

The Decision is Yours

Hello do-gooders! I hope everyone has decided to make it a great day.

Notice that in the above statement I wrote the word "decided." To decide means to reach a resolution in your mind as a result of consideration. This means you've made a decision based on your thoughts of whatever it is you are seeking to do.

Why is this important? Because it comes down to our OWN DECISION whether we are happy, grateful, upset, seeking to blame, excited, etc. We CHOOSE our outlook; as a matter of fact, our mindset is what will determine our happiness. And let's be real here, the goal is always happiness. So... make it happen.

Much love to you all on this day and the rest of your days.

Forgiveness

Hello fellow do gooders. I hope everyone is doing swell.

I want you to ask yourself, "am I truly a forgiving individual?" What does forgiveness mean to you, anyway? Is it being a push over? Is it forgetting what was done to you? Is it finding the good in your heart to simply let go of what you let get to you in the first place? That's what it means to me. To let go.

Forgiveness means to let go. To not feel angry or resentful. Holding this in your heart is painful. One cannot truly be free if we hold this grudge inside of us. This is a struggle that many deal with and few conquer.

JUST. LET. GO. We hold ourselves back because we want to justify someone else's actions. That is quite the recipe for discontentment.

Always find it in your heart to forgive. No need to forget (fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...), but forgiving is a key for living a happy life.

Be great, live freely.

Be kind... and grind ;-)

Good day to all!

Always remember to practice kindness. This has to come from our heart and we must always have the best intentions. If our intentions are not good, we will not progress. Our outcomes in life will not be as great as they CAN be!

Also.. GRIND! This means work hard and do your best at everything you do! We can all change the world, but it starts with us as individuals. Let's go make it happen!

Find your soul, mate :-)

Good morning and happy day to you all!

A lot of us get wrapped up in things that distract us. We may have a tendency to blame others for our set backs. STOP! Look at yourself before blaming others.

We must always look within for answers. And we also must OPEN OUR MIND BEFORE WE OPEN OUR MOUTH.

Also, do not think that your happiness lies in someone else's hands. FIND YOUR SOUL AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR SOUL MATE BY NATURAL ATTRACTION.

Be happy, my friends.

Now go, find your soul, mate; this will lead you to your soulmate.

Happy New Year!

Good morning Do-Gooders! I would like to wish every single one of you a HAPPY NEW YEAR, but more importantly, a happy TODAY!

Make today the best day possible. DO not stress the little things and tell the people you love, well, that you love them.

Tomorrow is never promised so that boss that is a pain in the butt, or the person that you allow to bother you, or the craziness going on in the news.... STOP LETTING THEM AFFECT YOU AND DO SOMETHING TODAY THAT WILL MAKE YOU AND THE WORLD BETTER!

Please share this with family, friends, and the world.

Looking forward to helping you become a better you!

Much love, health, and happiness to you all!

Don't be so quick to judge

Happy day my people! I hope everyone is doing great!

Today, I'd like everyone to take a minute to think before they react. As a matter of fact, this will help you RESPOND as opposed to REACT. A reaction can allow for us to utter words we may not mean; allow for an insult when those should never be our intentions.

I was reading a post on-line today and the first sentence said something along the lines of "believing the liberals.." I have also seen posts that read "the crazy Catholics.." or "these idiot Republicans.." In all honesty, we pass judgement when we label and we affect others as well. There is no need for insult.

In a world where we need more help from one another, let's do just that.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Technology and Health

Hi all! Today we have a guest blog post. Below is Tyler's article on how technology is helping us MTWABP! Enjoy!

A Better Day is on the Horizon: How Healthcare Innovation is Changing the World
No matter where you’re from or what your background is, everyone on the planet should have the same goal: help make the world a better place. Though we all may have different ideas of what the ideal world looks like, or how we can get there, one thing is certain: improving the health and wellness of people all over the world will help us achieve this goal. Let’s take a look at the shifts on the healthcare front that are allowing for easy access to high quality care for everyone.

Better data means a laser-like focus on prevention over treatment
Everywhere you look, there are apps and electronics monitoring health. From apps being used as pedometers, to calorie counters, millions of Americans use technology to improve their health. Most people are familiar with interactive devices like the Apple Watch, Jawbone and FitBit, but you may not be aware that these apps are changing the future of healthcare.

Technology companies are currently working on ways to share data collected by fitness monitors with a patient’s doctor. They can then use it as part of their diagnostic toolbox. The more information they have about the lifestyle of their patients, the better doctors can diagnose issues early and can offer solutions to prevent disease from occurring at all. This is not only the most cost effective approach to medicine, but prevention can help patients avoid unnecessary pain and suffering.

Virtual visits with doctors mean easier access to healthcare
One of the main factors standing between Americans and better health is their lack of access to qualified medical professionals. This is often because people don’t want to visit the doctor over something they believe may not be a serious issue, qualified doctors aren’t available in their area, or they simply don’t have the time to get to the doctor. Virtual doctors visits can make these issues a thing of the past.

Board certified doctors are now offering online visits. These are not nurses, they are real doctors who can give real diagnoses. Of course many medical issues require an in-person doctor’s visit, but having access to these online services makes it more likely that patients will consult with a doctor before a minor symptom turns into a major health emergency.

Cloud resources make it easy for doctors and patients to communicate
The widespread availability of online medical charts allows patients to instantly access their test results, vaccine history, and all relevant information from their physician. It allows doctors to instantly respond to their patients about any questions or concerns they have. These online charts are safe, secure, confidential and HIPPA compliant. They allow patients to be more involved in their own healthcare, and empowering people to take their health seriously makes the world better, one person at a time.

Physicians can focus more acutely on their patients
If you ask any physician how they’d prefer to spend their working hours they’ll tell you they’d like to spend it with their patients. What gets in their way are the many essential tasks that must be completed but don’t add value to the patient experience: appointment setting, insurance billing, etc. With the newest innovations in healthcare outsourcing, physicians are able to turn these tasks over to specialists - leaving them with much more time to spend with their patients.

Physicians can communicate easily with each other
People with serious health concerns often have numerous doctors. They may have a general practitioner, an oncologist, a surgeon, and a physical therapist. Just a few years ago, getting information from one doctor to another required faxing or sending paper documents. Faxing results in suboptimal copies and mailing documents takes time – time that critically ill patients don’t always have.

These days mobile data is available and can be shared safely and securely from one doctor to another. This cuts down on the need for redundant testing, allows doctors to communicate instantly with one another, and gives patients a more efficient experience.

Innovation and technology are essential parts of every country’s health and well-being. As technology in healthcare improves, the results are higher quality care for everyone. These innovations are leading to the world truly becoming healthier and happier, and in turn, a much better place.

Be Honest

Happy day to everyone! Today, practice honesty.

When we are honest with ourselves, life gets easier. This may take time and practice as we naturally try to convince ourselves of what we want and at the same time struggle to see the truth. LET IT BE. Honesty and truth will only set you free.

When we lie, we are seeking to hide something. Perhaps we should reconsider what we are seeking to hide. Nor should we be ashamed of who we are, as this may be a reason for a lie.

Be honest. Be content with who you are and push yourself to be better. Be great. BE.

Much love,

Erik Bustillo

Be Grateful

Hi everyone! I hope this day has treated everyone well!

I wanted to send out a reminder today. That reminder is about being grateful. Spend some time today thinking about things or people you are thankful for.

Some simple examples are:
-Your parents
-Your siblings
-Family
-Our 5 senses
-Your washer and dryer

And the list goes on. Just take time each day to think of at least one thing you are grateful for and this will change your perspective on a lot of things.

You will notice more patience, happiness, and other good feelings.

Start today!

Much love,

Remember that life is not an emergency

Happy Day to everyone! It is Friday and I want to share this with all of you Do-Gooders out there!

Remember that life is not an emergency. Perceived problems will arise and all we can do is handle them. No need to panic. No need to think life is over, because it most likely is not.

Also, remember to be kind today and everyday.

Enjoy this video that a good friend shared with me.

United we Stand, Divided we Fall

Happy day to everyone! I hope this day brings you all great happiness and good things.

Some of you may be aware that today marks 14 years since the 9-11-2001 terror attacks on our country. This is a day that we will never forget. We will never forget where we were. We will never forget how we felt. We will never forget that day.

But I am writing today to uplift us all. This was a day where loss was experienced and pain was felt. We must never forget how we felt when this occurred. We seem to forget things quite easily... When 9/11 happened, just about EVERYONE in this country was about helping, uniting, and being there for one another. WE MUST PRACTICE BEING KIND TO ONE ANOTHER ON A REGULAR BASIS. It is unfortunate that times of loss are what cause us to come together.

With social media, we can MAKE GOOD HAPPEN... ALL THE TIME! Sure, it takes practice, but so does getting good at a sport, or talking to girls, or writing, or being a good firefighter/police office, or being a good lawyer, etc. etc. etc.!!!

Please everyone, I'm asking you all to uplift one another. We don't need a terror attack to make this happen. Just DO GOOD!

Have a wonderful day.

Much love to ya,

Erik Bustillo

We Have to Learn to Enjoy Each Day

Good morning my friends! I have a short story to share with you all to help share perspective.

This morning in the office I said hello to a fellow co-worker and she said "hello Erik."
"How are you?" I asked. "It's Friday. And a long weekend," she replied....

I never got an answer to my question. Well, I did, and the assumption is that she is doing well and is happy because today is Friday and it is Labor Day Weekend (no work on Monday). Does this mean she is not well when it is not Friday or the weekend? Probably not, but this helps make my point today. We have to enjoy each day as it comes. We are always so focused on the outcome that we forget the process.. i.e. we forget to enjoy Tuesday because we are so focused on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday....

BUT THEN SUNDAY ARRIVES AND WE ARE UPSET BECAUSE TOMORROW IS MONDAY!!!

You see what we're doing there?!

MORAL OF THE STORY:
Take each day as it comes and enjoy it for what it's worth. Tomorrow does not exist... yet.

Do Something Kind Today, Tomorrow, the day after...

Hi everyone. I hope you all are well. I would like to start your week off with a kindness challenge that you can start today and keep doing it until the end of time. My challenge to YOU fellow reader, is to DO SOMETHING KIND TODAY, THEN TOMORROW, THEN THE DAY AFTER THAT, AND SO ON AND SO FORTH.

Kindness is contagious. Hold the door open without expecting a thank you, but if someone holds it open for you, say thank you. The youth need to learn kindness and we are the ones who can teach it to them.

I look forward to everyone being kind. And the best part is that you can do more than ONE kind thing. So get started!

Let me hear all about it on facebook, twitter, and instagram! @erikbustillo
