Too nice, too positive?

Is there such thing as being too nice or too positive/optimistic? I think not.

People have have said I'm too nice. What does that mean? Define too nice. I understand that some people may try to take advantage of the kind and humble, but that would the "nice" persons fault for allowing it to happen. You see, that saying "don't mistake my kindness for weakness" holds true on all accounts. Just because someone is willing to lend a hand does not mean they are a sucker.

Someone has even said "how can Erik be so positive? It bothers me." I feel that there is not enough optimism in the world with all the negative news being reported and constant negative issues being the focus of the media.

SO WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
We can start by saying thank you to someone who performs an act of kindness. We can stop focusing on the negative. Hold the door open for someone. Say thank you. Say you're welcome. Say hello. Give police officers/firemen/doctors/teachers credit for what they do. Do not judge ALL based on ONE experience. Smile.

A nice message from Osho

Two persons living together in love should make it a point that their relationship is continuously growing, bringing more flowers every season, creating more joys. Just sitting together silently is enough....

But all this is possible only if we drop the old idea of marriage. More than friendship is unnatural. And if marriage is stamped by the court, is killed under that stamp in the court.... You cannot bring love under the rule of law.

Love is the ultimate law. You just have to discover its beauties, its treasures. You have not to repeat, parrot-like, all the great values which make man the highest expression of consciousness on this planet. You should exercise them in your relationship.

And this has been my strange experience: if one partner starts moving on the right lines, the other follows sooner or later. Because they both are hungry for love, but they don't know how to approach it.

No university teaches that love is an art and that life is not already given to you; that you have to learn from scratch.

And it is good that we have to discover by our own hands every treasure that is hidden in life...and love is one of the greatest treasures in existence.

But instead of becoming fellow travelers in search of love, beauty and truth, people are wasting their time in fighting, in jealousy.

Just become a little alert and start the change from your side – don't expect it from the other side. It will begin from the other side too. And it costs nothing to smile, it costs nothing to love, it costs nothing to share your happiness with somebody you love.

FEAR is not real...

FEAR is simply an acronym. As Les Brown said:
False
Evidence
Appearing
Real

Is you are afraid, understand that this fear is learned; but since you've chose to be afaid, use that fear as FIRE to push you and drive you past your comfort zone.

We can over come anything, whether it is a job interview, new eating habits, a new exercise regimen, etc.

Push yourself and shift your comfort zone.

Best medicine is...

EXERCISE!!!

According to a recent study, middle aged women would benefit best from an exercise prescription.

Go figure.

Maybe We Can Learn From Animals

Animals are amazing. Especially dogs (I'm biased, get over it). They love unconditionally. Their loyalty is unmatched. And their will and strength is simply inspiring.

We should not be afraid to give and fight for what we believe. Sometimes, desperate times call for desperate measure. Other times, things do not have to be quite drastic. If we can find the ability to half as giving and caring as the dog in this video is, we would be progressing much faster towards MTWABPing.

Enjoy!

2. Be passionate

3. Work hard at it

4. Work a bit harder

5. Be optimistic

6. Be realistic

7. Take advice with a grain of salt, but if they know what they're talking about, take with a bit more than a grain

Time flies when you're living life

We're used to hearing the saying "time flies when you're having fun." Sure. it's true. When we're having a good time we tend to lose track of time and then when we finish what we are doing we cannot help but wonder "where did the time go?!" Now, my question is, why can't we "have fun," all the time? We should strive to ENJOY EVERY SINGLE SECOND WE BREATHE. Life is a reason to celebrate all in itself. We should not take things for granted as we have love and happiness all around us. And if we don't, we can certainly find it. The take home: Love your life and the people in it. Remember that we never know when our last breath will be taken, so take every opportunity to the maximum level of happiness! Be great. Erik B. MTWABP!
