Time for Change

We want change. Right? We think that there is so much bad in the world. My question is, what are we doing about it? Some of us are taking action. -Simple things. Saying "thank you." Cleaning up trash we see on the floor. Saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. Donating time or money or both to good causes/charities. -Others are sitting and complaining. That will not get us far. Thank you for bringing it to light, though. Get off your butt and walk your talk. -We can all make a difference. It's time we all start believing. I'll leave you with two quotes: Be the change you wish to see in the world- Mahatma Gandhi If you can affect the world around you, you can affect the world itself.- Tom DeLonge of the rock band Angels & Airwaves MTWABP! This is just ridiculous.

Article from "The Daily Beast."

NYC Cabbie Stabbed by Islamophobe

It goes without saying that Newt Gingrich, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, et al., feel no responsibility for this whatsoever: A New York City cab driver named Ahmed Sharif was stabbed by a passenger who allegedly asked "Are you a Muslim?" before carrying out the attack. When the cab driver said yes, the passenger allegedly pulled out a Leatherman tool and slashed his throat, arm, and lip. Sharif was able to lock the passenger in the back of his car, and is currently in the hospital recovering from his injuries. The passenger, Michael Enright, is a 21-year-old filmmaker who recently returned from Afghanistan. In a statement, Sharif said "I feel very sad. I have been here more than 25 years. I have been driving a taxi more than 15 years. All my four kids were born here. I never feel this hopeless and insecure before."

The mind conceives, the person achieves.

No matter ones age, to be submissive to the many, is not the way to go . Do not be afraid to stand out. Hold beliefs close to heart, but fear not to express them. Don't let people tell you that you can't do something. As long as you have a good head on your shoulders and stray away from that which may bring you down, things will be fine.

United Prevail. Divided we Fail.

Our country is supposed to be the UNITED States. We're not much of a united country if you ask me. For one, our country was raised with racism, prejudice, and discrimination. Two, how can we POSSIBLY be united if we have a Democratic party and a Republican party(2 separate parties in a "united" nation....)? Oh, and don't forget the Independents and the other parties that I have no idea what their names are. We have people who STILL preactice racism!! Seriously, you need to get over that. WE're all created deserving equal opportunities. Ignorance is PURE downfall. We have Senators and Congressmen/Congresswomen who highly disrespect our President. We have gangs who fight/ataack/kill people because of a color they're wearing. What if we all wore rainbow shirts?! Honestly, I believe everyone deserves healthcare, and we're a modernized/powerful enough country to do this. Let's all stop with the division and bring our country to unison.

Broken Heart, Fixed Soul.

To be broken hearted means one has lost something or usually, someone, they really care about. Whether it was a death, a break-up, or whatever it may be. With this comes grief, pain, suffering, and experience. We learn from all this. To have a broken heart, one must have loved whatever it was the they lost. This may be sad, but it's a sign that LOVE is being let in. Don't be afraid to LOVE, be afraid not to.

"If LOVE's a word, that you say, say it. I will listen." Angels and Airwaves
